Yes, Quite an interesting link. However, I was dismayed when looking down the list of scientific papers, to see the names of the well known sceptics, Willie Soon, Sallie Baliunas, dear old Fred Singer, Roy Spencer, ? Christy, etc etc many times.

The papers, & I haven't counted them but must be less than a hundred, stretch from the mid ‘70’s to the present. How many peer-reviewed papers in favour of AGW in that time I wonder – (many thousands ??).

And the writer is disingenuous. Whilst these papers may strictly be peer-reviewed, I see some are in the Energy & Environment publication (which THE joke journal), and the author doesn’t make it clear that the bulk of the assertions in many of these papers have been debunked.

My suspicions aroused, I did a wiki search & guess what :-

The Independent Institute is a libertarian think tank based in Oakland, California.
&
The Institute is a member organization[citation needed] of the Cooler Heads Coalition which asserts that the theory of global warming is a myth.[citation needed]

Back to the drawing board mpkd.

Cut and paste perhaps and can I have some tax dollars to keep me in the lap of luxury and in the meantime you have justification to raise taxes

Five names. What percentage of the total number of names attatched to these papers does that represent?

As with much MMGW hyperbole, that paragraph is a gross distortion of the truth. You haven't counted them? Well, I have a bit of free time today so I did. There are 201, not less than 100. Stretching from the mid 70's to the present? 90% of the papers are less than 10 years old and only 3% are more than 15 years old. All of those are from the period 1985-1993 except one paper from 1976 and one paper from 1964. In fact, there are the same number of papers from one year, 2007, as there are for the whole of the 20th century.

You didn't even bother to count the number of papers. How do you expect us to believe that you read the "bulk of the assertions" contained in them and know them to have been debunked. You're just guessing.

And? Is 'libertarian' a bad thing per se?

"Citation needed". In other words, where's the proof of this? Probably hard to come by since the Cooler Heads Coalition ceased operating in 2005 and was disbanded in 2006. Seeing as most of the peer reviewed papers in question have been produced in the last four years this organisation is irrelevent to the thread.

Pay no attention to clipo,he nearly always tries to dis anything that blows his mmgw/cc fanaticism out of the water by refusing to accept a name or a particular remark.

He and the like have lost the argument, but, like most sore losers, just keeps on with their nah nah na na nah, yesit is,no it isn't agenda.

Exclamation Skeptical Scientists are still Scientists

Being a well known Skeptic is irrelevant to a scientist's credentials nor their peer-reviewed published papers:

John R. Christy, B.A. Mathematics, M.S. Ph.D. Professor of Atmospheric Sciences, University of Alabama in Huntsville
Roy Spencer, Ph.D. Meteorology, Former Senior Scientist for Climate Studies, NASA
S. Fred Singer, Ph.D. Physics, Professor Emeritus of Environmental Sciences, University of Virginia
Sallie Baliunas, Ph.D. Astrophysicist, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics
Willie Soon, Ph.D. Astrophysicist, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics
