Default Something good has come out of GW hysteria

So many bad things have come out of it that I'd like to say something good about it and I think it is one of those unintended consequences.

I have been following it for years now and it just dawned on me something else about it. Everywhere I look I see amateur scientists, and I'm not using this in a derogatory sense, on the contrary this is very good indeed. The situation goes something like, we have a political debate and the accepted way to win a GW debate is based on how much science do you know. This is brilliant because I'm a strong supporter of science. It is a discipline of the rational mind and I have noticed people who would never care two hoots about science before, thinking it is very boring, suddenly taking an interest. Indeed our whole country is talking science because without it the general impression now is much like the old FT advert as in 'No FT No Comment'. No science is now the socially unacceptable stance and it has done wonders for its popularity.

So interestingly it has backfired for the agenda because you will be aware if you have ever seen a school in the last ten years on how science is being dumbed down. But I speak to a lot of these kids on the Internet and I like to help them with their science and they do take an interest when it is explained to them properly. That eureka moment where something that was once a muddle fits into something where we can both understand how it works and also use the science to make predictions. It's a very powerful tool and I'm so glad it is being rediscovered by the next generation. People are compensating for the dumbing down at school by using the Internet, they know there is more than what the wishy-washy arty farty school agenda has shown them.

School is just a tiny step in your life-time mission of learning and growth.
Ultimately it's about how curious and motivated to go and learn regardless of the form the information takes.

If you abolish science then that would be a greater nightmare than Hollywood has ever invented. Even walking over a bridge could mean falling into the river. Everything we have around us is governed by scientific principles and mathematics and the horror is we can't take it for granted it will continue like that. They used to teach calculus in maths O levels but now engineering students are being made to take catch-up maths courses before starting their degree. The universities simply can't teach a degree in engineering without the students first understanding how to do the equations. As they arrive they are simply not fit to do that.

Global warming involves a lot of scientific principles and I'm glad to see ordinary folk learning the ropes. I think this goes far beyond just job abilities, I think with the population educated on media studies the politicians can get away with virtually any scam. Now people have an incentive to learn about science. I see it more and more on forums and the level of scientific understanding is increasing at long last.

Indeed but in particular they have been flushed out with the appliance of science. Naturally such people would have done some art kind of degree because this is where the communists manage to brainwash their recruits, as in give them dodgy books to read under the guise of education. They would look down on the scientist and say it is all very boring but now the scientist is the one with the pile of ammunition and they are fighting with sticks and stones.

So we have a new lease of life for science and I have been plugging away on the Channel 4 forum about it. That place is known to be left wing but their arguments can't stand up to the scientific method. Other people and onlookers have seen their arguments crumble and many have seen the benefit of knowing a bit about it.

Generation Investment Management (GIM)
Generation Investment Management LLP

that Al Gore co-founded with former Goldman Sachs executive David Blood and others in 2004. Trading and or purchasing carbon offsets is an emerging business. It’s quite possible that GIM’s offsets actually produce financial benefits for the Gores either through tax deductions or even business profits. His swimming pool alone cost $500 a month in electricity. That's
alot of carbon ofset just for his damn pool.

While Gore relaxes in his posh pool house and heated pool, you should be taking shorter and colder showers, and hanging your laundry outside to dry. As Gore jets around the world in first-class comfort to hob-nob with society’s elites about his self-declared “moral imperative”, you should travel less and bike to work. You should use less electricity while Al and his wife, Tipper, use 20 times the national average. Now that’s a real carbon offset.

I just discovered Gore's daughter Karrena is married to Drew Schiff of the
David and Lisa Schiff of New York, members of the international banking cartel, Kuhn, Loeb & Co. Jacob Schiff was the great grandfather and ran the Rothschild owned Kuhn, Loeb & Co. in New York.

The headquarters of GIM is located in London. I just bet the Rothschilds
somehow are involved in Gore's GIM.

Then we have Marxist Obama trying to push his Global Poverty Tax (carbon-emitting fossil fuels taxes) legislation through the Senate. We serfs will be burdened with more taxes to the tune of almost 1 trillion dollars in 13 years to the United Nations to help poor folks in other nations while we lose our houses, ration food, pay outrageous food/gas prices, lose jobs, our damn government is bankrupt, and we work 5 months out of the year to pay taxes.

Obama Pushes Bill That Would Mandate Global Tax

They tax our labor, our food, and now they want to tax the air we breathe.

Yes, it's getting to be about as credible as the Iraq War and the dodgy dossier these days. That has to be a good thing. You can track these people and find out who they really represent. Try these ones as well.

Jonathon Porritt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Zac Goldsmith - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There are more Gores lurking in England.

Welcome to the forum libertylover .

The hypocritical energy-guzzling carbon-emitting global warming alarmist 'elite' are just using concern over alleged warming to promote their own politically correct leftist agenda.

An agenda which, for most of them, includes trying to raise tax and trying to put people on a 'carbon guilt trip' about flying so that air travel ends up for the exclusive use of the 'elite' only.
