Warmest March on record?

So what was the temperature in March 1886? Or 1885?
Who knows? - they may not have had accurate or comparable RECORDS then.

Obviously, since this is an official anouncement from the NOAA, (i.e. a reputable and internationally recognised source, we must accept their RECORDS are telling the truth.
(Alternatively, if you don't believe their records to be reliable, instead of waffling and avoiding an inconvenient truth, I agree with Besoeker that all you sceptics find a reliable rebuttal and publish here.

It was freezing cold all March in the UK as I recall. Of course, that doesn't mean that the average temperature worldwide was not abnormally high.

I wouldn't limit that to just sceptics. It should encompass anyone who disagrees with the point made in the link you posted.

Exclamation A Problem with the Global Temperature Record

I disagree with the point made in the link for obvious reasons:

The Graph of Temperature vs. Number of Stations (Ross McKitrick, Ph.D. Economics)
- GHCN Air Temperature Station Locations 1950-1996 (Animation) (University of Delaware)
- Historical Station Distribution (Climate Audit)

Did I just shoot down another one of Clippo's non-points? I hate when I do that.

It was also of intrest in todays polls which point to a clear Tory win at the next election that the issue of the enviroment that Cameron has championed with relish was way down on peoples priority's. Perhaps he and other leaders and posters on this forum who swamp it with this overstated nonsense might reflect on this fact, start being patriots and work on the real issues facing this country.

No ? (sarcastic) .... you mean that the public think Crime & Punishment, Education, Health, & oppresive taxation are actually more important than Environment policy ( and the EU problem) ?
