Yes of course "dubious" news papers, please try looking at my sources before you embarrass yourself further.

Your sources are mainly from newspapers or from organisations with an ideological agenda.

Put into context, previous paleo-climate warming episodes took many thousands of years to rise by that much. Furthermore, the consensus of experts says a rise of 3 degrees is the maximum safe limit before irreversible positive feedbacks set in to trigger mass distinctions. This is why all the world’s governments are committed to keeping CO2 levels below 450ppm.

CO2 only accounts for about 4.2-8.4% of the greenhouse effect.

Methane has actually stopped increasing worldwide:
No it hasn’t. The rate of increase levelled off somewhat in the 80s - 90’s but in the link in an earlier thread, :-

CO2, methane up sharply in 2007 | Environment | Reuters

2nd para
Quote:
… The amount of methane increased by 0.5 percent, or 27 million tons, after nearly a decade of little or no change,….

Quote:
Methane emissions rose sharply between 1978 and 1998 and then levelled off.

BBC report finds bias within corporation (The Daily Telegraph, UK)

BBC viewers angered by its 'innate liberal bias' (The Daily Telegraph, UK)
Confessions of a BBC liberal (The Times, UK)
We are biased, admit the stars of BBC News (Daily Mail, UK)

You have no idea even what my sources are as you ridiculous generalization means you have not even looked at them. Do you even know what Science Daily is?

The old switcheroo by Besoeker, just to take it all on a slightly different tack, and stall for time for his pals.

Poptech, you're killing them with proven facts, and they can't handle it,all 4 of them are at a complete loss on what to do or post next.

I love it,sitting here reading your demolitions of the CC/MMGW fanatics schpeel.

Thanks a lot.

I agree with poptech (obviously). However, I really don't see any chance of either side making the other see its light.

You will never get the authortarian position to agree with the libertarian. It is day and night, black or white. Polar opposites that will never match.

So the end conclusion is war, when the authortarian side tries to impose their way on the libertarian side.

So that bloke was probably right in a way, though rather than being climate change itself causing the war, it will be the issue of climate change.

Oh so tedious ! All of Poptech’s references are so hopelessly flawed that I don’t know where to begin. Ok, lets just start with the first on his previous list :-

Poptech wrote:-

19,000 Scientists declare that "man-made" global warming is a lie with no scientific basis whatsoever (OISM)
- Art Robinson Responds to Petition Slander (OISM)
This, of course is the famous, (or ‘infamous’) Oregon petition, since it was originated from the Oregon Institute (there you go again) of Science & Medicine. If you could be bothered, you could google and search hundreds if not thousands of criticisms of this project. However, for simplicity, and as a jumping off point for further research I refer you to wiki (don’t you just love it ) :-
Oregon Petition - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I particularly this extract from the Scientific American :-
Quote:
In 2005, Scientific American reported:
“ Scientific American took a sample of 30 of the 1,400 signatories claiming to hold a Ph.D. in a climate-related science. Of the 26 we were able to identify in various databases, 11 said they still agreed with the petition —- one was an active climate researcher, two others had relevant expertise, and eight signed based on an informal evaluation. Six said they would not sign the petition today, three did not remember any such petition, one had died, and five did not answer repeated messages. Crudely extrapolating, the petition supporters include a core of about 200 climate researchers – a respectable number, though rather a small fraction of the climatological community.[16]
{Hollow laughter) !!!

You will see from the bottom of the wiki link, late last year, OISM tried the petition again. However, with the evidence of fraud and ambiguity in the earlier one, scientists are now wary. Despite repeated calls, I don’t think the results have been published yet –

??? I wonder if they’re paying Mugabe as a consultant in counting votes???
