Default The ugliness of envirofascism

It's good to see The Mail pick up on this though.

Meanwhile, under the Government's Renewable Obligations Certificates scheme, the cost of producing power from wind turbines is subsidised by every household via their electricity bills.
The shocking picture that shows how a wind farm has disfigured one of Britain's loveliest landscapes | the Daily Mail

How much more is Britain going to take of this sort of thing?

What a mess. The fact money is stolen from me to make it happen, makes me want to puke.

But it is wind turbine eyesores on which most of the subsidies are going. As you and I have discussed on the pages of the forum before now.

Why isn't this Government doing more to subsidise and promote solar?

That picture of the ugly wind turbines on the hill near the beautiful town of Stirling show just how they can damage scenic views.

It is good of the Daily Mail to bring attention to this fact.

If the europhile Salmond (First Minister of Scotland and leader of the pro-EU Scottish 'National' Party - SNP) thousands more of these unwanted turbines will be built across Scotland.

Thank you, Baron Von Lotsov, for your excellent posting and for putting up the link to the article in the Daily Mail.

What a beautiful town Stirling is - and how dreadful those ugly wind turbines look.

As has been pointed out earlier in this thread by Ranter - the wind turbines don't work for much of the time on average.

And their blades kill rare birds. And there are many rare birds in Scotland.

The place where the government are letting that American billionaire build some golf club/ Las Vegas style mega development is also a place of outstanding natural beauty. It's such a shame though that the landowner in the middle of it won't sell, however much money he is bribed with. The government were looking distinctly red faced about it the last I heard. It seems at least some Scots are not taken to being pushed around.
