Default Lord Lawson to be interviewed on the James Whale Radio Show on 15.4.2008

Eurosceptic Lord Lawson, the former Conservative Government Chancellor, will be a guest on the James Whale Radio Show on Talksport radio on Tuesday 15.4.2008.

The James Whale Radio Show is broadcast from 10 pm to 1 am Sunday to Thursdays.

Lord Lawson will criticise global warming hysteria. Professor Philip Stott - who also does not support most of the claims of the anti-climate change movement - will also be a guest on the same programme when Lord Lawson is interviewed.

Talksport radio is available on 1089 and 1053 AM (medium wave); on Freeview (set-top box) Channel 723; via the Talksport website; on digital radio and via satellite and cable.

Mr. Whale said on his programme this morning (at 0053 am) "Global warming is a lie - there is climate change which is natural: always has been and always will be."

Earlier this week an anti-climate change scientist admitted on an interview on BBC 2 Television Newsnight that Lord Lawson was right to say that there has been no global warming increase for the last decade.

Lord Lawson's book "An Appeal To Reason - a cool view of global warming" has just been published by Duckworth's press at £9.99.

Default Lord Lawson, Talksport, James Whale, global warming

For those reading this soon after I post it (10.20 pm on 15.4.2008):

I have the programme (referred to in the first posting to this thread) on now - Lord Lawson has apparently, just arrived in the Talksport radio building and he will be on air shortly (10.20 pm on 15.4.2008)

If you want to listen to Lord Lawson being interviewed by Mr. James Whale on Talksport radio please tune in to the Talksport radio on 1053 am or 1089 am (medium wave) now or select Channel 723 on the 'Freeview' set-top box. Talksport can also be heard over the internet via the Talksport website.

Lord Lawson is a global warming sceptic and his new book "An appeal to reason - a cool view of global warming" has just been published by Duckworths Press.

Should be interesting.

Feel free to ring up the programme and give your view. I am sure they are going to open the lines up to the listeners.

Neither Lord Lawson nor Mr. Whale are climate change deniers - they agree that climate change has always taken place but they believe in adapting to the changes and that the chances of stopping climate change are small. I believe that is also the view of Professor Stott who is also on the programme as I type this.

There is a criticism of the economics of preventing climate change.
However, a group of industry leaders have claimed that it will benefit the economy to prevent it and, of course, there is the Stern Review to think of.

Can climate change be prevented, ultimately? We can all cut try to cut carbon emissions but nature is a very powerful thing.

I don't know. As a proponent of AGW theory, I think it can, but I appreciate not all think so.

I made several brief e-mails during the show, none of which were read out. I'm giving up now because it's just too tedious to write them all the time.

Default Lord Lawson, Professor Stott, Mr. Whale, programme presenter, questions, listeners

No e-mails from listeners have been read out from listeners on this subject yet, actually. Mr. Whale, presenter, may do so later in his programme (which goes on until 1 am).

Lord Lawson has now just left the Talksport studio but the interview with Professor Stott will continue.

Mr. Whale has just said that the telephone lines are being opened up for listeners to call to ask Professor Stott questions on climate change.

I am glad that the matter of the future energy supply was discussed.

A shame, as I've stopped listening now.
Perhaps one day, when I can actually phone up instead and have an actual debate...

I had to laugh when James Whale read out one e-mail from "Fred"

"Talk Radio, Talk rubbish more like"

to which James reponded:

"Say that to my face you pillock !"

I like James Whale a lot - he talks a lot of common sense and can see through the deceit, even if he can't pinpoint the origin of it all.
