I am in contact with a friend of a friend, who knows the company wellish, to see their production records/reports and find out why they were built in this location, after all,it could actually be six months or even more since they last ran,I only started monitoring them 31 days ago.
If they haven't run for that length of time (or longer) maybe there is a fault somewhere. Maybe in the mechanics, maybe in the power electronics, the switchgear - any part of the system....The fact that all three are non-operational might suggest a system fault.
There is one that I pass nearly every day on my travel to and from my office. I can't say that I have every seen it stationary.

On a slightly different note, wind energy in total is a very small contribution to UK energy. A few non-operational units in your area isn't a real big issue in itself.

Default UK, solar power

They want to build at least 20, 000 more of them in and around the UK. I really wish they would concentrate more on promoting solar power instead.

Still no production from these 3 turbines yet,day # 33.

If itts a system fault it must be massive, but the real problem is wind power, too much.or too little, not much they can do about that is there?

Maybe relocate them further down the coast?

That would only cost another couple of million I expect.

You mean subsidising it?

Yes,just like the Windmills are subsidised.

Not really. If the three turbines are on the same wind farm it is likely that there is a single (step-up) transformer to couple them to the grid. A fault with that or associated switchgear would render all three in-operable.
I don't know the rating of the turbines but the transformer or transformers are not likely to be greater than 3MVA in total. In power system terms, you couldn't reasonably describe that as massive.

As I mentioned, I haven't seen the one I pass ever stationary. It is in a relatively bad area for wind according to the BWEA map. NE England is rather better. That's part of what makes me think that there may be a problem other than wind speed.

Yes,but do you agree with me that it could also be a wind speed problem,as in,the windmills being wrongly sited or elevated?

Of course it could be.
But 30 some days and every one of them having unsuitable wind velocity?
Possible. Probable?

I'm looking at them right now, they are only about 400/500 yards apart,in front of a ridge, zero wind.(5/10mph max).

I'm sure this is going on in many more locations and am still waiting for info on this.

The wind speed, 5-10mph, equates to 2.24-4.47 m/s. That should be within the operational range. It further points to there being a fault.
