Default Global Warming will kill you!!!

Yes folks, you are going to fry to death. You will be nothing but a charred cinder because according to our government:
Quote:
Without preventative action, the report said that a nine-day heatwave, with temperatures averaging at least 27 degrees over 24 hours, would cause 3,000 immediate deaths, with another 3,350 people dying from heat-related conditions during the summer.
I suggest you stock up on loads of ice and have a backup fridge, which you can sit in if it gets too bad. On no account what so ever take a holiday any further south than Brighton and book early for your summer holiday in Greenland. Better still buy a one-way ticket and that way you will keep living.

Climate change soon could kill thousands in UK, says report | Politics | guardian.co.uk

"according to our government"......

The same government who lied about WMD's, 911, and everything else.

Fear - an instrument of government control.

Well enough people voted for them to give them 2 MEPS 2 ( I think) MLAS and a few councillors but I agree with you about how they seem to be getting in through the back door.

They have learned well from their Communist brothers. Indeed they have a symbiotic relationship with them, that has created the watermelons we see today.

Recycling targets are set by the EU. All those who vote for pro-EU parties surely understand that they are voting for the targets.

Actually recycling of scarce resources makes sense, but planning for it and preparing markets takes more time than the EU mandarins think. Thus we end up with gluts of recyclables that are sold on overseas and disposed of in ways of which we might disapprove. Most of our surviving steel production is recycling, much of our cardboard production and plain glass production is also recycled materials. It makes economic sense to recycle and we should do it on that basis; landfill does cause severe pollution through leachates and should be avoided where possible (assuming we want to drink clean water and have usable farmland).

I shouldnt think when people vote for a pro EU party recycling targets are at the top of there agenda, the trouble is the EU is nowhere near the top of there agenda

I have no problems with recycling, but when local councils reduce the level of service they offer with no tax deductions in order to recycle more people tend to get annoyed, hence the weekly collections have now been restored by our council with recycling ones taking place once a fortnight.

This is the problem with political parties taking a mandate from winning, at any level.

Many people will vote for a party because they match a couple of key areas for them. That doesn't mean they support the rest of the ********, yet that is the power the party that wins has.

When people only think they have 2 or 3 options and pick the least worst, it becomes even more of a farce.

This is basically why I have stopped believing so much in democracy and have shifted towards Libertarianism, with government being shrunk and democracy pushed down to local levels where possible.

The further from the people democracy is, the more of a farce it becomes.

Doesn't UKIP have a few MEPs?
For an anti-EU party, that often struck me as being a bit paradoxical.
