Default HJuman pollution causing rain

Isn't amazing what scientists can work out ? This Nasa study shows that more rainfall occurs broadly midweek in the s.e. USA due to particulate and and other man made pollution. See a summary here:-

NASA - NASA Data Link Pollution to Rainy Summer Days in the Southeast

To cover themselves from smarty-arsed critics, they do cover themselves though :-

Quote:
"If two things happen at the same time, it doesn't mean one caused the other," Bell said. "But it's well known that particulate matter has the potential to affect how clouds behave, and this kind of evidence makes the argument stronger for a link between pollution and heavier rainfall."

So the hotter drier summers is now firmly in the bin. Hurrah, no more talk of water rationing then.

Until the next hot dry summer.

So what? If it is true, does it really make any difference?

What we have in return is far greater than a "natural" rainfall.
