Default Troops Help Stranded Chinese as Snow Kills 50

Planet Ark : Troops Help Stranded Chinese as Snow Kills 50

BEIJING - Troops fanned out across large swathes of China hit by snow storms that have killed about 50 people as Premier Wen Jiabao apologised to stranded railway passengers ahead of the biggest holiday of the year.

The government has ordered almost 500,000 troops and paramilitary forces to help millions cut off and suffering shortages of food and power, but there is little sign the weather will improve soon. Unusually icy temperatures, snow and sleet blanketing much of central, eastern and southern China have crippled thousands of trucks and trains loaded with coal, food and passengers in the most severe winter weather in half a century.

Pray, pray for a warmer world, where this kind of thing won't happen!

Planet Ark : China's Crops Badly Damaged by Icy Storms - Agmin

BEIJING - China's Agriculture Ministry said on Wednesday that the unusually harsh winter had dealt a serious blow to the country's wheat and vegetable crops and warned that damage could rise because of persistent cold.

The ministry said in a statement on its Web site that 103 million mu (6.87 million hectares) of farm crops had been hurt by the freak weather, which has plagued southern, central and eastern China over the past week. Of that total, it said 11 million mu had been ruined, while another 53 million mu were badly damaged. The crops affected included rapeseed, vegetables, wheat, tangerines and tea leaves, although the ministry did not specify how much of each had been damaged.

Pray, pray that the world warms for these poor people.

Default Planet Ark quote, global warming alarmists, severe weather, China, half a century

The above quote from the Planet Ark article in the first posting to this thread says it all.

No doubt the global warming alarmists will say that the above quote (about the worst and most severe winter weather in China for half a century) is the clearest evidence yet that the world is rapidly warming up.

There's no bleedin' difference. It's just an illusion you voodooists have created to fool yourselves into believing the high priest gore.

The global warming alarmists say it is climate if the weather is hot and that it is the weather if it is ice cold.

The simple fact is China, Cyprus, the Middle East and a large part of the USA are experiencing their coldest winter for half a century.
