End of the world or not, carbon trading is wrong. It is incompatible with a free society.

John Carter,
You're obviously missing out on a good earner here. I hope I don't detect any sour grapes.

There is no such thing as carbon credits! They aren't a commodity or a service, they are a slight removal of state control for a price.

Free, in case you haven't been paying attention, means the government has nothing to do with carbon emissions.

No need to be sarcastic Clippo. People understand - but perhaps you do not understand that they understand.

We understand that there is no evidence that humans are mostly responsible for alleged climate change.

What I have said is that nothing is yet proven and that much more research needs to be done, so again it is Clippo who does not understand.

But what Clippo has to understand is that the key question here is one of democracy, how is Britian to take decisions in its National intrest on this matter when enviromental matters as are many others are taken not by HOC but by Brussels.

I would say to Clippo, If Gordon Brown brought in a Climate Change Bill exactly in line with what you wanted to see would you endorse the Brown Government at the next Election. In fact if you would not mind sharing it with us what will you do at the ballet box next time.
