It is criticising the post, not the poster.
For the avoidance of doubt, that is just an observation. I am neither condoning nor condemning the post.

Default Word

I think Clippo would enhance his own case if he avoided usage of a certain word which some (or many) would find offensive.

I hope that you do not write any of your business correspondence using such terminology, Clippo.
I suspect that many people on the forum have used this openly and certainly with zeros replacing the o's or asterisks doing the same. I think, (although I apologise profusely if I am wrong) that one of your mates, who I won't actually name, used the very same word quite recently in a post.

Default Terminology

All I am saying, Clippo, is that I thought that you were above using that sort of terminology. It doesn't help your case to use a word like that.

The greatest tragedy is that her natural successor Norman Tebbit was unable to take over because of the IRA bomb attack in Brighton this like the murder of Airey Neave deprived the Tory government of 2 of its best people just when they where needed

The whole purpose of the europhiles in the Conservative Party is to cause as much trouble as possible should anyone up at the top of that party try to get back our sovereignty lost to the EU. The europhile impostors in the Conservative Party (mostly leftists) have no other reason for being in the Conservative Party other than to try to wreck it should its leadership try to reflect the eurosceptic and pro-sovereignty views of its members.

Fair point with regards to the first sentence - I confess I am being dragged down to the median level of many other posters.

Re:-
The second sentence, I probably used such a word to relate to those those are more easily impressed by such invective and of whom there are too many on this forum. However, the only thing that will really help my case is for you sceptics here to re-evaluate your thinking on GW issues. Do you really think your views, however expressed, are going to roll back the 'consensus' view of AGW? Do you really think your views are going to persuade all of the world's leaders, (political, religious, scientific and so on), that they've been wasting their time with Montreal, Kyoto, Berlin, and now Bali?
I think you are sadly mistaken if you do.

In answer to your question, above, Clippo: -

All I can say is that I resent the "world's leaders" (as you call them) telling me to cut my carbon emissions - when I already have (and I do not like using the politically correct term) a "low carbon footprint".

Think of all the carbon emissions used in flying all those people out to that conference in the luxury holiday destination of sunny Bali. I notice that they chose a warm place with nice beaches for their conference - and not a less expensive conference hall in a town on the frozen edge of Lapland, close to the area where it is claimed carbon emissions are causing ice to melt.

Some at the Bali conference do not appear to want to get 'too close' to the problem they are claiming to fight.

Addressing your question again, Clippo - I would say that I expect the "world's leaders" to carry on with their campaign against alleged global warming.

But I think more and more people in the industrialised nations are going to question the claim of the global warming alarmists that they (the people of the industrialised nations) are ultimately responsible for any climate change some say is taking place now. We can cut carbon emissions without being made to think that we have caused most of them (my view is that we have not caused most of them).

I will continue to make efforts not to waste energy - thus helping to cut carbon emissions and (hopefully) my electricity bill.
