Riddle me this.

Just when I am told that I must pay more tax and make sure my T.V. isn't left on standby, burning about 1p a years worth of energy.

Just as I am told my airfairs mus rise, to stop me from making co2, the most evil and dangerous substance know to man.

Just as I am bullied into buying a Sinclair C5, as the only environmentally acceptable form of transport.

How come every town I drive through is burning megawatts of energy on decorative christmas lights?

How come?

the same reason that the streetlight outside our house is on 24/7 i suppose, and has been for the last 2 years despite repeatedly reporting it to the council

different rules for them and us :x
