Standard of debate / Personal abuse
Following some recent complaints about this sub forum, which I have until now seldom visited, I wish to make a few things clear.
1. Forum policy has always been based on freedom of speech. We will not censor opinions and views accept for in a limited number of circumstances. Whether or not a person's views are based on "accepted science" is not grounds for censorship.
2. However we reserve the right to intervene to ensure that reasoned debate can take place. If people spam the forum with multiple threads on similar topics or if they post the same thing repeatedly in different threads to drag them off topic they make reasoned debate impossible.
3. Personal attacks are against the forum rules.
I will now be keeping a closer eye on this forum and will be enforcing points 2 and 3 more rigorously than they have been in the past.

Denial is a defense mechanism in which a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence.
Denial is a mechanism of the immature mind, because it conflicts with the ability to learn from and cope with reality.
