English Democrats keep BNP OUT in East Wickham

English Democrats keep BNP OUT in East Wickham

    Bexley (Kent) LBC, East Wickham.

Steven Hall,......... Con 798, 26.8%. Con hold.
    Michael Barnbrook, BNP 790, 26.5%
    Pat Ball,...............Lab 700, 25.85
    Grace Goodlad,......LD 564, 18.9%
    Laurence Williams,..ED 128 4.3%

Hey what an exciting By-Election last night, with TWO recounts.

Two interesting things for the English Democrats

1 All Traditional Parties were fully aware that any claims that the English Democrats were "racist" in any way, would be challenged under the 1976 Race Relations Act.

2 All Tradition Parties agreed that the English Democrats had kept the BNP from gaining a Councillor in Bexley.

Welling was of course one of the main bases of the NF/BNP, and this was a tough battle.

Yes the English Democrats would have hoped for a better result, but Bi-Elections are very tricky terriortory.

English Democrats were able to do 3 Full Leaflet drops, but we were still out gunned by the BNP, Con, Lab & Lib who managed 5 or 6, and the BNP Canvassed the Ward !!!!!!!!!!

The Liberal Democrats won the competition for the most UGLY Candidate, and to top it all she was a SCOT
(She kept this well hidden on her literature !)

I see. No hint of racism there at all.

Trumpeting your dismal performance as some sort of success for keeping out the BNP is only going to fuel suspicions that you are little more than a state-backed safety valve. I've no doubt you are genuine in your beliefs, however idiotic they are. Why does the phrase "useful idiot" spring so readily to mind.

Yes, the English Democrats is a "State" backed political party.

We have Millions to spend, and we can call upon the whole of the British Army to Leaflet England, plus the Police Service and Fire Brigade.

BNP might as well give up now

The phrase "BNP Knob Head" is coming to my mind.

what a great result last night, it was always going to be hard for us with our limited resources but thankfully we can all say that this ward is a BNP FREE ZONE and I can't wait until the rest of my country is to.

It's not often, if ever, that I have to doff my cap to JHJ but I'm sure he's right that the MRLEDs did keep the vile lot out in East Wickham for which we should be eternally grateful. Notwithstanding the fact that the electorate have spoken and almost 800 of them voted BNP which is the major worry.

I'll say thanks when you canvass me for the KCC elections in May.

Sorry, can't resist but where do the EDs go from here?

we carry on on our path for english self-determination and to give the good folk of england a voice.

our course doesn't change, see what most of the folk on this forum seem to forget is that our cause is a journey and not a destination, even after the event of the creation of an English parliament, we are not finished, we will carry on until one day, we form the government of England and govern the good folk of England in the proper way.

The BNP were nine votes short of winning outright and the English Democrats were nowhere - yet you boast about keeping us out. That is exactly what the likes of Searchlight try to do.

By saying this, you are destroying any credibility you have as a party.

If there is an ´English´ cause, then you disgrace it, my friends. You are not nationalists - you are scum.

I think it was a good effort when you look at the outcome. It was a cold thursday on a january dark winters night so there for turn out was alaways going to be a factor.a bye election the fact the vile BNP was kept out great news for everyone 120+ people came out to vote EDP the ward is now a foundation for future elections to built on.A lot of good positives and the fact more people have joined the party as well and more people are aware of the Pro England cause.Yep a satisfactory outcome well done.

Old Gang Parties Feel the Pressure after BNP Breakthrough in Bexley
January 23, 2009 by BNP News

There is now no longer such a thing as a safe old gang party seat when the BNP comes to town, said party leader Nick Griffin after yesterday’s dramatic election in the East Wickham ward in Bexley where candidate Michael Barnbrook lost to the Tories by just eight votes.

“The British National Party has achieved a dramatic breakthrough in Bexley, where, in the face of a concerted campaign by all three old gang parties, we still outpolled both LibDems and Labour,” Mr Griffin said.

The full result: Conservative 798; BNP 790; Labour 700; LibDems 564; English Democrats 128.

“When this result is put into perspective against the Whitehaven result in Cumbria and other results in the last month or two, the pattern of widespread BNP support across the country is clear,” the BNP leader continued.

“The Tories put in a massive effort and Bexley is not our traditional area of support. At present, the media is trying to create the impression of the Tories being on a high and sweeping the board, but this result shows that it is the BNP that is on a high. This is something which their ‘polls’ continually ignore, to their peril.”
