BNP English Nationalists begin to move to the English Democrats

E-mail from recieved today from a former BNP member, who has moved to the English Democrats .........

Hi, I have in the past contemplated joining your party but had reservations due to your tame criminal policy. I was a member of the BNP but tried to campaign for ethnics to be allowed in, the leader to be ousted as he was a liability and undemocratic, and that the old members were paranoid with constant references to Jews and Commis.

I have cancelled my membership and told Nic Griffin what i thought of him.

The worrying fact is that their will be a real rise in the far right due to the vacuum of representation to primarily the working class. I have relooked at your party and joined. I will put my weight behind you and probably can be of assistance to you.................

..................... Due to the severity of the political situation facing the UK i am also willing to help with leaflet distribution, though being an educated chap my talents would be better employed in other areas.

New English Democrats former BNP member.

Sometimes I think there's a limited pool of people who join political parties, so that, especially in the case of small parties, the most likely recruitment is from other parties.

I'm not sure that a party would benefit from someone who "campaigns for ethnics to be allowed in", wants a "leader to be ousted" and is generally against a "tame criminal policy". Sounds too much like cupboard love of democracy, but I may be maligning this person who has joined the English Democrats!

Highly intelligent and educated people don't always have first rate English language skills. Conversely, people with first rate English language skills don't always have knowledge of a higher level than that of secondary school education.

Is this due to your recruitment campaign, targeting them?

Looks like the shift towards BNP policy on immigration might be paying dividends for the EDP.

Matt the English Democrats strategy was always to extract

    English Nationalists firstly from UKIP

    & then

    English Nationalists from the BNP

    - to join the English Democrats

    ===================================

Recent efforts by English Democrats on Face Book are bringing in results, the BNP are out gunned on Face Book by the English Democrats, as a large proportion of BNP supporters probably don't own computers.

UKIP have virtually no presense on Face Book, probably due to the age of most UKIP members.

Could this be a made up email? There are no names mentioned here at all.

Also this person sounds like a trouble causer and someone who shouldn't of been in the BNP in the first place. Also the fact that he says he is and educated chap and should be put to better use than leafleting etc... say alot for his character.

So he is made up or a person with too big an ego that wasn't getting through the ranks in the BNP fast enough.

Out gunned on facebook? In a few days we have got 225 supporters of Nick compared to 520+ for Robin Tilbrook after months of being on there. We have more groups with many more members as well, what is the biggest English Democrats group?

It's a fair enough policy. I wouldn't have gone down the route of overtly recruiting from the BNP, simply because the stigma that will attract, but if you are happy you can swat that down, then I am sure you could pick up members that way.
