An English Demcorats "Freedom of Information" question, has revealled that Ken Livingstone has lied to give the impression that expenditure on St Georges Day Events is equal to expenditure on St Patricks Day.
(Initially his officies first response gave no breakdown of expenditure) The wezzel has included events such as Shakespeare's Birthday, as it if is a St George's Day Event. Naturally our greatest playright should be celebrated, but this is coincidence that it is on the same day as St Georges Day. ================================================== ================ From Ken Livingstones Office In response to your query please see details below of a breakdown of spend on St. George's Day and St. Patrick's Day for 2006, 2007 and 2008. Please note the St. George's Day spend was actually higher than included in my first reply. St. George's Day 2006 £50K Shakespeare's Globe event £55K Leicester Square Chaplin event £15K Royal Society of St George, Covent Garden / Cenotaph Total £120K - Actual Total = £15K 2007 £50K Shakespeare's Globe event £50K Trafalgar Square Holy Grail event £15K Royal Society of St George, Covent Garden / Cenotaph Total £115K - Actual Total = £15K 2008 £50K Shakespeare's Globe event £15K Royal Society of St George, Covent Garden / Cenotaph £70 Trafalag £135k - Actual Total = £15K St. Patricks Day 2006 65k Towards Parade 35K Towards Stage Performances in Trafalgar Square Total £100k 2007 65k Towards Parade 35K Towards Stage Performances in Trafalgar Square Total £100k 2008 65k Towards Parade 35K Towards Stage Performances in Trafalgar Square Total £100k Last edited by KeyStage2; 01-05-2008 at 12:07 AM. |

All anti-EU and pro-England people in London should vote today to remove the europhile Livingstone from City Hall. Everyone should give one of their two votes in the Mayoral Election to Conservative Mayoral candidate Mr. Boris Johnson MP.
England's great capital deserves better than Livingstone. London Mayoral Election 2008 candidates: Richard Barnbrook - British National Party, Gerard Batten - UK Independence Party, Siān Berry - Green Party, Alan Craig - Christian Peoples Alliance and Christian Party , Lindsey German - Left List, Boris Johnson - Conservative Party, Ken Livingstone - The Labour Party, Winston McKenzie - Independent, Matt O'Connor - English Democrats, Brian Paddick - Liberal Democrats. Full details of the London Mayoral and Assembly candidates for the 1.5.2008 London Elections in posting number three at: UKIP Gerard Batten London mayor Election Broadcast Last edited by Britannist; 01-05-2008 at 12:35 AM. |

With Boris, the cure would be worse than the current condition! He is a bumbling idiot who is tolerated and gets by because of who he knows, not what he knows. Any oik would have been dispensed with by the Tories by now! It is folly to vote against someone without having a better candidate to replace them! Even Paddick is better than Johnson, notwithstanding that he has been put up by the Lib Dems. [Let's see how long HE hangs around them if he is not adopted as a candidate for other positions - MEP, MP etc?] My impression is that many voters have seen through Boris and, because the media have contrived to make it a two-horse race, Livingstone will scrape back! You saw it here first. ![]() _____________________________ |

Well done on the above. A good example of how small parties can trip up the political establishment. I assume there is masses of information hidden way by those in office which needs to see the cleansing light of day. Regards Andrew
