The result comes just days before voters across the capital take to the polls and decide who should become the Mayor of London. Conducted over the last three weeks, our poll asked who should be the winner of the May 1 election and shows true Blue BoJo has racked-up a whopping 54 per cent. In second place was Labour's candidate and governing Mayor, Ken Livingstone with a 15 per cent share of the vote. And in third place was former top cop and Liberal Democrat Brian Paddick with 9 per cent of votes. But hot on his heels was Richard Barnbrook, the British National Party's candidate, who took seven per cent of the vote. Gerard Batten, who is representing the UK Independence Party racked-up six per cent. And Matt O'Connor representing the English Democrats also won six per cent of the vote. Green representative Sian Berry was not left too red faced after pulling in one per cent of votes but failing to get off the ground at all were candidates for the Left List, the Independent candidate and the candidate standing for the Christian Party Alliance and Christian Party |

Are you talking 1) 1st Preference Mayoral Vote 2) 2nd Preference Mayoral Vote 3) Constituency London Assembly or 4) London Party List If you are talking 1) then you may be right If you are talking 3) you are talking out of your bottom as the BNP only have one candidate out of 14 If you are talking 2) and 4) you are also talking out of your bottom as trends from 2000 and 2004 show that the minor parties vote considerably improves in these votes. |

The deciding factor on who is Mayor of London from Friday of this week onwards could well be second preference votes from small parties including UKIP and the English Democrats (if the vote for Mayor is extremely close - as I believe it will be).
I hope europhile Livingstone gets thrown out of City Hall in this week's election. He deserves it. |

Smaller parties aren't going to win constituency seats, and you can't win seats on the mayor. Do you really think the ED's are going to get 6%? If not, what percentage is your expectation? My guess is that the first digit will be zero. |
