UKIP seems to believe that you can have an English Parliament and a Union.

UKIP seem to want to be (quite naturally) "All things to all men" in this key area. It does not wash.

As soon as Scotland and Wales had their govenments the union was finnished.The current set up is unacceptable.We are either governed as a whole or we go our seperate ways.

Well it seems nobody has the answer. Maybe they UKIPers have been a bit busy this week .

Yes, all it says under 'UKIP Policies in brief' is: "We will be fair to England, with an English Parliament of English MPs at Westminster. We will replace assembly members like MSPs with MPs. And we will promote referenda at local and national levels."

There is no amplification of this on the website. It implies the dissolution of devolved bodies in Scotland and Wales and, presumably, Northern Ireland.

I remain unconvinced that UKIP has a feasible constitutional policy, and continues neglect it at their electoral peril.

One of the things the scrapping of the Northern Ireland assembly would mean is the rewritting on even cancelling of all legislation concerning the Good friday Agreement, now I opposed the agreement so I would welcome its abolition but UKIP have to be clear what would replace it, some form of devolved body is going to be needed in Northern Ireland.
