Now that the English Democrat Party (EDP) has no candidate of its own in this week's London Mayoral Election most would expect them to make one of two announcements: 1. That its members/supporters/voters back the UKIP London Mayoral candidate (Mr. Gerard Batten MEP) but vote for the EDP London Assembly candidates. In return UKIP could agree (at least in some areas) not to contest wards/seats where EDP candidates are campaigning (after this week's London/local elections are over). 2. That its members/supporters/voters back Mr. Andrew Constantine of the Free England Party (FEP) in this week's London Mayoral Election. In return the FEP might announce that its members/supporters/voters back EDP candidates in those London Assembly constituencies it is not contesting. The EDP might also suggest that voters back one of the two Mayoral candidates mentioned above (Mr. Batten or Mr. Constantine) in the first round of voting and Conservative MP Boris Johnson in the second round of voting. I look forward to Kentishman telling us when the EDP have made a decision of what to recommend that its members/supporters/voters do now that the EDP 2008 London Mayoral Election candidate says he has resigned.
