Mine was also meant as a friendly comment, nothing personal was meant. Maybe I was being a little bitchy.... I can not deny that but it was certainly not directed at you.As for groveling.....this England never did lie proud at the foot of a conquerer.... & this lady could not possibly grovel ![]() ![]() |

Please don't open the debate on loans and donations (union members, corporate heads etc. etc.). No one (that I know of) has gained a seat in the HoL by donating to the EDP. You'll probably also say that no UKIP MEP nor UKIP prospective candidate or UKIP member has made donations/loans to the UKIP.

Why do people loan money to political parties? To me, you either give it or you don't give it.
When I was in the EDP we were asked for contributions towards election campaigns. So when I contributed £100 for example, never did I think to classify that as a loan. |

Some would assume, quite unfairly and without evidence, that to give money to a political party infers ulterior motives such as favours or a greater say in policy. I give of my money (little though it is) quite freely and without strings and until evidence emerges that others have loaned/donated money to gain favour then I take it as read that they do it for their love of the "cause" - whatever that may be.
When that evidence has been produced it should be put before a judge and jury where a judgement can be made, not left to the whims and fancies of the CPS.
