The EDP managed to poll enough votes to deprive the BNP of winning a seat in Nuneaton by 16 votes, even though their own vote was irrelevant. Some EDP members think this is a great thing but presumably are unaware that Mr Uncles has been cuddling up to the neo-nazi EFP, simply because they wave a St George's cross flag. These people are from the outer fringes of far right politics and some of whom were expelled from the BNP for extremism and anti-semitism!

Politics is a funny old game and makes strange bedfellows.

Yes, you mustn't underestimate the EDP! They are very clever and cunning. After all, what other party could set out to prevent the BNP candidate from being elected by a margin as small as sixteen votes? The accuracy here is simply amazing and MUST be admired!

Here are the results for 2004

1st Conservative Party....504,941 26.53%
2nd Labour Party............466,584 24.51%
3rd Liberal Democrats......288,790 15.17%
4th UKIP...................... 232,633 12.22%
5th Green Party............ 158,986 8.35%
6th Respect....................91,175 4.79%
7th British National Party.. 76,152 4.00%
8th Christian...................45,038 2.37%
9th English Democrats......15,945 0.84%
10th Peoples Party.............5,205 0.27%
10.English Democrats 25,569 1.04% - so just less than 10,000 extra votes, despite a much higher turnout and the party being bigger than in 2004. But guess its better than UKIP's collapse.

Just what would we do without your insights?

Well, I can see where one party has a vested interest in having the EDP lost in a very deep hole.

In view of the actions of Matt "Drunk" O'Connor, then the Vote for the English Democrats is actually in line with my predictions.

The English Democrats are not going to curl up an die - we have a Nation to save !

Yes, it is a funny old game.

I recall I met up with the Senior Citiizens Party on a couple of occassions, funny how no one has ever accused me of "wanting to be old"

Your logic Vortex amazes me.

I dont think the actions of Matt really affected how people voted, it shouldnt of affected your list vote. So what excuse does the EDP have for such a bad list vote?

Also what excuse do you have for being beaten in every head to head with the National Front (NF)?

Perhaps the answer is as simple as the description on the ballot papers?

>> National Front - Putting Londoners First <<

>> English Democrats - Putting England First <<

These were London Elections after all.
