So much that is English is either ignored or diluted eg the ECB,now the E&WCB!

In the sphere of music, the Proms have an established practice of choosing a wide repertoire of works from a variety of sources, occasionally giving a premiere performance. However, the Last Night of the Proms was traditionally English with pieces such as The Sailor's Hornpipe, Jerusalem, Rule Britannia regularly being featured.

Of recent years, the BBC has introduced a practice of including excerpts of outside broadcasts from Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh and elsewhere. Can you imagine the complaints which would ensue were the BBC to include excerpts from London or elsewhere in England during any broadcast of the Searchlight Tattoo from Edinburgh Castle! Besides, the name of the game is to eliminate Englishness in favour of Britishness.

Roger Scruton is absolutely correct in his analysis!

Default BBC, anti-English, England

The Brussels Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is anti-English - it does everthing possible to avoid using the words England or English.
