Possibly, but I'm sure that is not their contention! I didn't even know what 'gibbet' was before this evening. I apologise for my ignorance of the execution methods of the 18th Century which England First seek to reintroduce in England in 2008.

Gibbet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
Gibbet usually refers to a gallows-type structure from which the dead bodies of executed criminals were hanged on public display to deter other existing or potential criminals. It can also be used as a verb, denoting the action of placing criminals in gibbets. This practice is also called "hanging in chains".[1]

Gibbeting was common law punishment, which a judge could impose in addition to execution. This practice was regularised by the Murder Act 1752, which empowered Judges to impose this for murder. It was most often used for traitors, murderers, highwaymen, and sheep-stealers, to discourage others. The structures were therefore often placed adjacent to public highways.
I don't support Gibbeting regardless of whether it is 'populist'.

The English Democrats must make an official statement about what Kentishman said about England First musn't they? I suppose if the media couldn't care less then they actually don't need to say a word. But it will all be stored in the computers of journalists across the land just in case.

Make a joke out of it if you wish. Any very distant day your party has the potential to be credible is the day the electronic, then print and then broadcast media will make this topic on this forum a very serious issue.

I have no confidence in you Kentishman, sorry. I suppose the above was a reply to my post? Just a reminder, one of the matters of consideration is "5. The abolition of the Islamic faith and demolition of all mosques".

I won't ask you to change your posting style in response to that, but merely to comment on it considering your statement:

Before making unsubstantiated allegations, whoever hides under the title, 'Independent UKIP' should check his/her facts. Brian Lee was not reponsible, and Tim Hawke is a candidate.
