I'm not really a nationalist. Unless you count support for Cornwall, being a quarter Cornish and support for the western highlands/lochaber as nationalist.

I'm a libertarian or not in the American meaning so much. Not that I don't read and admire many of the American type and their predecessors.

I see people are getting on their high horses over this poster campaign. Frankly this is just a reflection in England, of what has been happening in Scotland for decades. There has been plenty of Anglophobic actions and comments directed towards the English in everything from the MSM to newspaper message boards, to groups and clubs and football, not to mention politics.
I noticed when an English group returns the fire it suddenly becomes "racist".
If the issues at hand, had been tackled decades ago we wouldn't be at this crossroads now.
Maybe people should start asking themselves why this is happening?

Maybe it's because I live up North. But from my experience, more often than not, anti-English sentiment in Scotland is met by outrage. Furthermore, there is a lot less of it than the media would make you think, at least in my personal experience.

However, this is from an Edinburgh point of view, perhaps there is more in Glasgow (which would be ironic considering Glasgow is far more Unionist than Edinburgh).

I think that would depend on which area of Glasgow you where in. The major Celtic supporting areas are hardly known for their love of the English.
I can honestly say I have never seen somebodies house vandalised in England for being Scottish, yet this is something I have seen reported on in Scotland which is sad really.

I have had personal experience of English hatred towards a member of my family.

Furthermore, there have been cases in the news - but you might just gloss over them.

As for Glasgow, whatever you say about the Celtic supporting areas, when it comes to the voting booth, the West coast is far more Unionist than the East.

Which is also interesting considering the East is far wealthier - perhaps Labour subsidies and everyones beloved Barnett formula has something to do with it.

I don't remember seeing anything, that of course does not mean it does not happen. I certainly get the impression it happens on a bigger scale in Scotland then England, and that's not based upon the news and more from people I have spoken to who have lived and worked up there or who are Scottish.
