What a low standard of debate has been engendered by this thread! No one has questioned why such OPINION Polls are published during the run-up to an election ballot? Am I the only one to notice that the BBC has been and is giving tremendous prominence to the Conservative and Labour candidates, slightly less to the Lib Dems' and virtually NOTHING to the others! These opinion polls serve to maintain the status quo; the merits and deficiencies of alternative candidates are left uncovered. If opinion polls are so important, why bother to have a ballot at all? Heaven knows that the Labour Government has done all it can to give away as many votes as possible whilst destroying the integrity of the system thus allowing others to create even more bogus votes! Instead, we could have YouGov conduct an opinion poll on 1st of May in each constituency and tell us the result on 2nd May! There is a strong case for banning opinion polling in the months leading up to an election! They further distort and corrupt our political system in an unaccountable way using unaccountable methods. Because of that, this thread is mischievous, damaging to English nationalism by the squabbling it has encouraged, and aided the anti-England brigade! _______________________ |

The point is not whether I can do the job better than Matt, it's what the electorate in London think Matt is capable of, and they will pass their judgement on Matt and the English Democrats on May 1st.

I don't think it's working very well. I've seen it before, of course, as have so many forum activists. The funny little yob thing person who speaks in burble and glort and appears to have only one brain cell firing yet knows intimately the bosses of people who can spell and how to unseat law abiding individuals by putting a word into the right ears. God save us, do they have nothing new in their tin pot arsenal? |

Instead, you engage in the very thing about which you complain. You sully too many threads with your whimsical and vague generalities. If you are not a troll, you give a damned good impression of being one! ![]() It seems that you are overdue for another session with your therapist? ____________________ |

I presume that your attack on me is a defence of our illiterate friend? Why don't you see this one as a troll? Instead you see someone like me as one. Interesting. ![]() I could leave but then who would amuse you all? Granted, everyone could listen to you ripping into some other hapless quarry, but what would that accomplish? I find you rather weird. Surely whatever it is you want can't be worth laying into me when you don't know me from Adam? Am I maybe just a teenzy veenzy bit of a nuisance to you? Is that it? I didn't know, of course. I'm not a troll so I forget about all the little ins and outs of trolldom. So boring, so fruitless and inane. Anyway, I'll leave the stage open for a grand missive of "substantiated" dialogue on the merits and demerits of polls, shall I? The world awaits with baited breath the delivery of your opinion. I'm sick of activism. I don't blame others thinking of taking up origami or peanut farming instead. Although people like you never seem to tire of making yourselves unpleasant the rest of us can stand only so much before we get bored. I can hear the whistle of the Bullsh*t Express. I think this is my stop. |

. I could eat poor Ms Harman for breakfast. I wouldn't of course, , but she would be like a pleasant little appetizer for bigger meals like Blair or that tit Alastair whatsisname. For some reason I wouldn't want to devour Brown. I think Brown is a genuine old style socialist, but out of time. I think he would have made a great Labour politician in the late fifties. It's what his kind of person was made for. He just came to the party too late and the Mad Hatter and the March Hare have spoiled all the goodies and upset the timing for the great big lefty comeback. What has poor Harriet done that she is compared to me? |

I was comparing YOU with her! YOUR 'infantile, Harriet Harman level'! Geddit now? You must learn to keep up. ![]() I take it you have no views on moratoriums on opinion polls in the run up to election ballots then? _____________________________ Last edited by cassie; 06-04-2008 at 03:38 PM. |
