I think you'll most Scots aren't for any disproportionate funding.

Matt was in the process of starting his own party before he became mayoral candidate for the EDs. I wonder how long he will hang around for after the mayoral elections.

Can you cite any authority for this Richard to elevate it above being mere gossip?

Yes, please see this link.

BBC NEWS | Politics | Profile: Matt O'Connor

This is the section that's relevant.

The marketing and design consultant has since written a book on the story behind Fathers 4 Justice and was in the process of setting up his own political party, the People's Alliance, when he was approached by the English Democrats to run for them in the mayoral contest - after media pundit Garry Bushell pulled out.
The thread was originally posted by Englander1 on 2nd April, so I'm assuming it's factually correct. English Democrat BBC Profile Matt 4 Mayor

Yes, it will be interesting to see. I guess the answer will be determined by a combination of the usual factors: how committed he is to England as a cause; whether he believes he can be more effective elsewhere which needs him to change horses; and whether he falls out with one or more of the ruling clique and is pushed out?

By the way, thank you for the links above!

Not for long, ED's will be a utter joke after these elections.

He is doing that how? Setting up a few tables around London? has he delivered 900,000 leaflets yet? Has he been to the Assembly to give Ken a mouth full?
Matt is just on an ego trip, and hes going to have a big fall on May 1st.

Just what would we do without your mindlessly, hostile and biassed comments?

We know you hate the EDP, but that is not sufficient a reason for you to persistently post your silly comments.

We also know that YOUR preferred party does not truly believe democracy; hence your disparaging comments about the EDP's campaign. I suppose EVERYTHING the BNP does is simply wonderful and your apparent criteria do not apply to them and Barnbrook.

Go away, you silly person.

If really desperate I would consider voting ED, but I could not and would not ever be able to vote for O'Connor. He seems to be far more committed to F4J than to the ED's. This, were he to be elected, may prove to be a security threat with the possibility of passes being handed out to people who may misuse them.
Also, has O'Connor ever said that he would not hijack any event that he was invited to, as Mayor, in order to promote F4J?
OK. Yes, I know, that I am over reacting again. As we have more chance of seeing Elvis riding Shergar to Osama Bin Laden’s Christening service in Atlantis, than an O’Connor victory.
