Default Statement (about the English Democrats' posters) to the Scottish people

I am a former National Council member and an ex-member of the English Democrats Party - but have nothing to do with them nowadays (indeed my party is in direct competition with them and I am standing against them in London).

I would like to make it clear that I believe that I am speaking for the entire decent and respectable community of English nationalists when I say now that we totally condem the political posters about Scotland that the English Democrats are set to run as part of their election campaign for the London Mayor and Assembly.

I would regret it immensely if any Scots thought that the level of puerile and nasty "humour" shown in these posters represented in any way what ordinary patriotic English people feel about our fellow citizens of Scottish descent or who live in Scotland.

The Scots are great - the posters are rubbish. It's as simple as that.

The Scots and the English will be the best of friends, and the sooner we can forget that this discreditable incident ever occurred the better.

Well done, Andrew. I am sure the FEP will act with far more integrity than your former party has done.

To the EDP: it's not too late to change your plans. Do the decent thing and cancel this poster campaign.

Well said, hopefully the media pick up on these posters and show the EDP for what they are, Anti-scottish bigots.

The bitter anti-EDP campaign goes on.

Will you be wearing a kilt to honour the great Scots?

The EDP are just hypocritical vote splitters, the scots dont deserve to be attacked in this way. Its the politicians who should be attacked.

The EDP did bring a lot of what's going on with the union to the surface and the Scots are over represented in Westminster. Who will be taking the **** in the future over Iraq and other Bliarwars? True, the EDP shouldn't tar everyone with the same brush but, I don't see how crawling to Scots and slamming down the 'former' party helps either. Time is not something you have as a luxury, so, erm, you better put the thinking caps on.

I am sure most Scots will look at those posters and laugh, because they are laughable.

"Who will", you mean who is already. You only have to look at various newspaper message boards to see commentators from Scotland, blaming the "English government" for taking Scottish soldiers into war.
Sounds like a case of washing their hands of the situation if you ask me, espeically if you look at the cabinet members over the past 10 years and where they come from.

The fact of the matter is, the English have taken a lot of **** from their British neighbours for a long time and seem to be biting back. How Blair and company couldn't see this was going to happen (or maybe they did) then god knows. Salmond must be rubbing his hands as well what with the friction devolution has caused?
