    Default The Budget

I wonder how much England is going to be bled dry through the next round of taxation that Darling is going to foist upon us? No doubt any Tax raises in Scotland and Wals will be met with some sort of sweetner elsehere (free parking, free perscriptions, etc.).

Yeah I can see this budget is going to go down like a lead balloon. Unless Darling can pull a magic rabbit of Tax cuts out of his little red case then whatever he says is going to be pretty pointless.

Child benefit up £20 per week
Fuel duty 2p rise postponed til October
More money for adult learners (didnt we used to have an education council that was abolished in England after a short time?)

Which will not benefit the English as much as say Scotland. Why you may ask? Well tuition fee's where introduced for English OU students that I believe didn't apply in Scotland.

So anyone applying for that money will probably find it swallowed up in England by fee's.

    Indeed.

Looks like anyone who drives, drink or smokes is going to take a pounding of the chancellor though.
