No to Gandhi statue

Keith Vaz and the indian charity not registered in England got the go ahead for the statue, despite 17 official objections, over 500 signitures on my petition against it, just under 1000 on a Downing St petition against it, and aprox 4000 members of a Facebook group also against the statue.

the only support this statue had publicly was over 900 signitures on 4 different petitions and aprox 1000 members on a facebook group in favour of the statue.

They got the go ahead despite the majorety of public opninon being against this statue, which is typical of New Labour (Keith Vaz and the Leicester City Council are New Labour) the majorety Against where mainly indigenous English, with interestingly and ironicly for keith Vaz some of the Asian community also signed petitions against the statue as well!

Lets hope that some on puts a back-pack on the statue once it is errected, and the authorities will have to come along and do a controled explosion.
