Ground rules need to be set and a full agenda for action over the term of a government can be worked out, putting things right after the mess left by the previous parties. Lets say in principle all good aims that are possible will be met but not all at once, but pull together and you'll have the satisfaction of fullfilling your agenda with the support of the whole organisation.

In this way the policy shortcomings of over narrowly focused representation to the wider public can be overcome and a fully inclusive sweep of understanding planning and positive intentions can be seen to be available in a responsible way as preparation for government.

Naturally policies may be tweeked a little here and there to make them doable but if peoples hearts are in the right place about it then they should agree in the spirit of a common love for England to get down to the nitty gritty of really making it possible.

I might suggest that one of the ground rules would be all members of this coalition of love should conduct their financial affairs with the highest standards of probity.
Something a few of us wanted years ago before the end grew nigh. Hard nosed refusal and stubborn resolve to win through on a wing and a prayer (to say nothing of all the various scandals and accusations and other destructive time wasting bs).

It seems the only way round keeping what is important to special groups as well as preserving the context in which anything at all can be achieved is this umbrella policy body.

If you know how to squeeze past some really big egos you could succeed. Compromise is the only hope right now. Shin kicking should only happen when there is time for leisure activity. Why some people persist in doing it regardless of the peril looming on the path, god knows.

(Please accept this humour, I'm not meaning to offend, and if I did then I'm sorry mate)

C'mon mate the English nationalist movement, needs us all fighting from what ever perspective we can.

Whats your latest project mate? I hope you are letter writting to the enemy at the least etc
I do not believe that all this talk of rainbow coalitions will achieve anything but more cynicism amongst voters. At the moment, the Conservatives and Labour are regarded as being largely interchangeable ~ and that's without any coalitions, rainbow or otherwise!!!

The initiative I have in mind for BOTH sides of the independence issue (or any other issue for that matter!) is to demand that voters in England should be able to participate in ANY referenda about the status of any part of the UK.

It is simply not acceptable that referenda should be held in which (for example) solely the voters in Scotland take part. 84% of the UK's voters are in England and we have been sidelined since 1975!

The project I have in mind for myself is to collaborate with others in trying to arrange public meetings in which what is happening is explained. We need to get out there ~ like Billy Graham if you wish ~ and spread the word and set out some options.

That's a good idea cassie, but try not to attack your own side or split the movement. You'll find it will be more succesful that way.

What do you propose for yourself? How about removing the beam from your own eye? Cultural crime indeed!!!

Oh, hey, don't be shy! Let me finish the sentence for you: "pander to dictatorial, uncomprehending, half-wits such as ... Frith."

Ah, Frith, her load is heavy, her pathway strewn wiv rocks,
Why don't you just give way to your desire,
And place her in the stocks?

Along with any other "half-wits" that happen to be lounging about. What good are stocks if they don't have villains in 'em?

Once again, the ill mannered South African citizen pokes her nose in when she is not being addressed . . . but what should we expect from 'point fivers'?

To lower myself to your level of exchange: you can say black is white if you like, but it doesn't make it true!

The difference between my post and yours is that I gave a reason for saying what I said.

It would appear that it is common practice and acceptable in South Africa to persistently intervene.

Yes, we call it helping. If you scream that you are being murdered I will not turn my back on you but come to your defence. If your car breaks down I shall stop and help you. If your cat gets stuck up a tree I shall help you. I shall help you when you are sick and when you are sad and when you are in trouble.

When I heard cries of distress from England and of course Britain in general, I and many others, came to help. It isn't interference. It is kinship. And I don't appreciate your reference of having to "lower yourself to my level". That is disgracefully insulting. You should be ashamed of the way you speak to people. In South Africa I am afraid it might earn you what they call here a "klap." (Besoeker may laugh, as he has a name that means "visitor" here, so I presume he has connections.)

I see you're 'off on one' again, as we might say here! You seem to be a very unstable person to me. Keep taking the beta blockers!

You may say it's 'helping' but I say it's unhelpfully interfering!

Will this provoke yet another interminable and prolix post, I ask?
