Default UKIP & English Demcorats Feature above BNP

Latest Mori poll is showing that both UKIP & English Democrats are featured above the BNP

Considering the Matt O'Connor - English Democrats Campaign has only really got moving on 1 March 2008, with yet an official launch this is most encouraging to the English Democrats.

Ipsos MORI: The London Mayor Election

This is the first time the English Democrats have ever features in a MORI Poll

Perhaps having a foreign name is an advantage in london.

An important moment in English politics - the English Democrats have now rated for the first time in a MORI opinion poll in England's capital.

Thank you for that interesting link, Kentishman, with regard to how people may vote in the Mayoral part of the London elections in 60 days' time.

I wonder what people's voting intentions are regarding the London Assembly election - particularly the list vote for the London-wide proportionally (PR) elected seats?

Some voters might decide to vote for one party with regard to the London Mayoralty - and for another when it comes to the list vote.

I notice, by the way, that the One London Party, do not, so far, appear to be featuring in the poll result on the link kindly given by Kentishman. For those who do not know it, One London was founded by the two members of the London Assembly who were elected as UKIP members but who first quit UKIP and then left the Veritas Party.

From my detached (and, hopefully, objective) position, I would suggest that this is a very good reason for entering the lists! If a party cannot achieve some national prominence from this particular 'local election', where can it?

These opinion polls reinforce my view that they should be banned for the duration of the campaign on the ground that they materially interfere and cannot be undisputably demonstrated to be free from being skewed. They tend to reinforce the positions of the front runners to the detriment of other candidates.

English Democrats to beat BNP? LOL yeh right, you can get as many polls like this as you like but they wont have any effect on the final poll which is the only one that matters.
Even searchlight feel that its more or less certain that the BNP will get 5% and one seat and they are dedicated to destroying the BNP. ED's will get no more than 2% in London.

The reality is that people are wary about telling pollsters that they will vote for the BNP. I would be astonished if the ED's poll better than the BNP and I feel that the BNP are certain to win one seat and may even get a second.

I suspect the Nazis could secure a seat, if they manage to cover up Collett and have Barnbrook provide the face of their party.

However, I am always pleasantly surprised at how bad the BNP do when it comes to REAL power being dished out. I remain hopeful that the British public will surprise me again and show they only see them as a protest party in very limited circumstances.

Barnbrook is the face of London BNP and possibly his fiance Simone Clark, hes been in the London papers a few times, the BNP are certainly pushing Barnbrook and his image.
