Default Garry Bushell first to sign Matt O'Connor's Nomination

Tuesday, 26 February 2008
The collection of 330 Signature across the 32 London Boroughs, plus the City of London, began today, as Garry Bushell was the first to sign Matt O'Connors 33 Nomination forms being the No 1 Signature on the Bexley Nomination Form.

Garry Bushell speaking from his home in Sidcup said "If you want to get Ken out, vote for Matt O'Connor with your first vote and Boris for your second".

The Single Transferable Vote system allows voters to vote for the party they would really like to see win first, and the "Tribal" vote second.

For one reason - simply because Boris Johnson is not Livingstone.

I am fed up with seeing Livingstone in the local media here in the capital.

He is a bad Mayor who holds a range of appalling political views. I can remember Fib-ingstone when he was leader of the Greater London Council in the 1980's (he became leader of that by deposing his own party leader just a day after Labour won the 1981 election in London - Livingstone was never elected to the post of leader of London in the 1980s by the people of London).

Every effort should be made to defeat europhile leftist UKIP-hating Livingstone at the polls in the May 2008 London Mayoral Elections.

Boris Johnson MP is opposed to the euro and EU Constitution - Livingstone wants both. Livingstone has openly called for an EU Superstate.

Livingstone has broken many promises - one of them being his pledge to save the London Routemaster buses. He got rid of them two years after making that promise.

Boris Johnson MP says he will bring in a new 21st century version of the hugely popular and very British Routemaster and I think he will - given the chance.

Garry Bushell signing Matt O'Connor's nomination form (and being first to do so) is a good action, which should serve to dispel any notion of bad feeling and ill will about the change of candidate!

Yet another constructive development!

Nominations don't open until 18th March so the EDs must be especially concerned about not reaching the target to start things off so early. I remind the EDs of my friendly warning about so publicly soliciting for supporters - it is asking for problems in the very near future.

I agree that Bushell signing the form is a good move and disagreeing with mkpdavies agree with Bushell that 2nd votes should go to Boris.

I never understood how Livingstone got away with that coup. Having said hat the Electoral Commission have told me the BNP'S dictatorial constitution is legal!

So why does Boris support the EU and vote for it everytime he gets a chance?

Of course, I cannot agree with anyone if they vote for the EU.

But Conservative London Mayoralty candidate Mr. Boris Johnson MP is against the EU Constitution (EU 'Amending' Treaty); he wants a referendum on it and he is against the euro.

UKIP-hating europhile Labourite Livingstone (Mayor - hopefully not for much longer - of London) wants the EU Constitution; does not want a referendum on the hated EU Constitution and is one of the most enthusiastic supporters of the euro in British politics.

I know which of the two I prefer and it most certainly is not UKIP-hater and EU backer 'Ken' Fib-ingstone.

Boris Johnson MP has my vote on 1st May, 2008.
