Can't do without the customary Scottish representation on the platform, I see!

Do the English really need a Scot to hold their hands? Will the meeting have less credibility if Wrightie is not there?

Very good that eurosceptic Labour MP Frank Field will be attending.

I notice that the map of England (used on the link in the first posting to this thread) has the boundaries of the English counties as drawn by europhile Heath in 1974. One of the things we pro-England people must do is campaign to get all the English county boundaries put back to what they were before Heath messed them all up.

Yes, the counties of England must be based on the pre-1965 and pre-1974 boundaries (i.e. artificial counties invented after those years such as 'Merseyside' or the 'West Midlands' must go and ancient counties such as Middlesex and Huntingdonshire must come back).

I'm all for returning to original counties, and Berwick staying firmly in England.

As a matter of interest and without challenging your statement, can you provide any evidence of this? For Frank to be pro-EU is very disappointing!

Sure, here is an email I had from him.

Dear Matt

Thanks for your encouraging email. I have no intention of joining the Better Off Out campaign. I want to see the whole of the European Union transformed into a much more relaxed friendly outward looking body.

With best wishes
Frank

Thanks. QED!

Yes, I would like to see the whole of the European Union transformed into a much more relaxed friendly outward looking body . . . a dead one! Not likely to get one less unfriendly or more relaxed than that but, as for outward looking, well that'll be no loss anyway!
