Despite my misgivings about the arrangements for this particular demo, I do hope that it has gone well and that a much, much greater number of people turned up to participate than was generally expected.

I also hope that much, much more interest was shown by passers-by etc than might have been the case previously. Would it not have been wonderful if a TV camera team in the vicinity had decided that this was a topic worth airing?

Full marks to those who made the effort and have attempted to bring the injustice to England to the attention of a wider public!

WELL DONE!

Has Kentishman nothing to report about the demo?

It appears Kentishman missed this event too, along with the last "mass" demo outside parliament, and last year's J4E march. I was at the last two, you weren't. Impressive performance by you!

It seems that a certain person just can't help dropping himself in the clag! Does anyone know who the series 'Some Mothers do have them' was based upon?

You'll be in no doubt now who you would not want as the FEP's Press Officer Richard, if you ever were in doubt!

The one held the year before last was a flop, but to be fair it was hammering it down with rain. I'm not surprised people stayed away. I was at Westminster tube for ages wringing my clothes out, it was really bad.

The good thing about the demos is there are a lot of people who drive past tooting their horns, that's encouraging. But the value of the demos? Not sure to be honest, but I wouldn't suggest people stop doing them. At least it's doing something, and I've met some really nice people there. Anyone who has met Len for example, will know that, although advancing in years, his mind is as sharp as a razor and has me in stitches when he has a go at the establishment

Direct action seems to be needed these days maybe.

Like the Greenpeace protesters on that Airplaine today.

The national press may not avoid something of that nature.
Although the Greenpeace thing only gets in the paper because it fits in with the Governments plans to tax us all for fresh air, backed by the fear of global warming, as if we can do anything about it???????????

At the end of the day, this government will only listen when cities are smahsed up and burning down or protests are stopping the economy.

(For legal reasons, if the police read this, I am not encouraging this to happen)
