Isn't a 'Libertarian Party' a contradiction in terms. The Chris Tame memorial prize last year (Libertarian Alliance) was won by somebody who wrote an extremely strong article as to why there should/could never be a party calling itself 'Libertarian Party'. I'm sure it is on the Libertarian Alliance website: The Libertarian Alliance, London

Depends if that party expects it's ideolgy to be implemented in full or just wants to pull society a bit back from fascism.

There is such a thing as society, Thatch was wrong.

Libertarian Party of Judea...

...not to be confused with the Libertarian Alliance of Judea

...or the Alliance of Libertarian Parties of Judea

Libertarian Alliance another flash in the pan massaging of someones overblown ego.

Nobody will know who they are

Nobody will care who they are

They will vanish amongst a frenzy of bitter infighting after their first electoral drubbing.

I think Basildon Boy is mixing up his parties with his think tanks.

But I do get your drift.

All while Mr. Smartarse does nothing but post to stupid blogs and forums, sniping from the sidelines?

I think a Libertarian Party in the UK is good. There is one in America that quite a few Americans I know belong to as they can't stomach the other two in their present format. Libertarianism would in any case be a voice for all kinds of freedom issues. It's nice to see people making a stand. Good luck with the new Party.

I'm not about to join a party that can't even publish an outline manifesto on it's web site as yet.

Cart before the horse I feel.

I don't blame you.

It really is a fledgling at the moment. If you want a full, mature and up and running party, this ain't for you!

If you want a clean slate and a core to build around, then saddle up.
