I have read certain posts by some EDs on both this forum and elsewhere, and have been sorry that these former colleagues have resorted to personal abuse.
The fact is that the founder members of the new Independence party have been making very well reasoned and powerful points. The EDs do not like it when we quote their own manifesto back to them. But the EDs are formally a Unionist party - if you doubt this, you can read it in the party's manifesto. The founder members of the new Independence party seem to me to be like the heirs to the men of Cromwell's New Model Army. You recall the great Cromwell saying: “I had rather have a plain russet-coated captain that knows what he fights for, and loves what he knows, than that which you call a gentleman and is nothing else.” Well, we plain pro-Independence Englishmen know what we fight for, and love what we know. We will fight for England's freedom, democracy and independence. And we are recruiting now...

Might I venture to suggest that it is hardly "a plain russet-coated captain's" approach to claim (by implication at the least) have a lien on "fighting for England's freedom and democracy"? Are there not other political parties which make the same or similar claims?
Surely the true plain russet-coated captain would assert solely the principle difference between his party and the others ~ that is independence for England, (always assuming that independence is the predominant difference?). One has the sinking feeling that it is another case of "Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose." ![]() __________________________ |

At the risk of being accused of making a 'personal attack' or resorting to 'personal abuse', may I enquire as to the purpose of making the following remark: "I have read certain posts by some EDs on both this forum and elsewhere, and have been sorry that these former colleagues have resorted to personal abuse."? Just what is the point of it other than trying to be sanctimonious?
The particular posts have not been identified, nor where on this forum or elsewhere they were made. Consequently, we are left with solely your personal judgement about unspecified matters. Such conduct is typical of so many politicians and public figures who give pronouncements about THEIR conclusions, but withhold the information necessary for others they seek to influence to draw their own conclusions. Worse, the only effect is to inhibit debate, and those unable to distinguish between playing the man and playing the ball will continue unchecked! This is not a good omen for a new political party operating in England. ___________________________ |

We want to try and become the only nationalist party campaigning at a national level. For years we have put our trust in successive British governments who have wrecked our country. The Tories got us in the EU, Labour have flooded our country with immigrants. Along with getting us involved in reckless wars, it is fair to say that British governments are hardly doing the people of England any favours are they?
I would hope that people will at least give us a chance to try and do something and not condemn us even before we have got started. We would like to unite the English under one banner, secure our nation and our country, before its too late. Time is fast running out. The new EU treaty will begin to take effect soon, and our country has become an immigrants paradise. The British have failed to safeguard our country. Let someone else have a go. |
