How many English/British independence/nationalist movements does there need to be?

The more there are, the fewer slices of the cake.

You might well be right!

I think there is a need for a mainstream party that supports independence for England. To my knowledge, there isn't one in existence right now, not one that can work on a national basis. The EDP, while a potentially good party, has chosen the route of a federal UK. To many, this is unacceptable, and only a truly independent English nation state is the way forward. Unless a fully nationalist party has control of immigration, foreign, and taxation policy, as well as domestic affairs, then there is not much hope left for our country. I think the EDP has shown that it is possible to create a party that looks after the interests of the English, but sadly, does not have the inclination to attempt home rule for England. That is why a mainstream, nationwide party is needed. It is hoped that a new organisation can and will unite all those who believe in an independent nation state for England.

It would be strange setting up a brand new party when there is already a party called the English Independence party.

There is, yes, but how active are they?

As I said, what is needed is a nationwide mainstream English nationalist party
