Default Why is the English Democrats London Mayoral Candidate still secret?

The English Democrats National Council is the selection committee in this case and will make a final decision on Saturday 12 January 2008 in Leicester.

I (sic) formal announcement of the Selection result will be made next week
OK they have Thursday and Friday to go but why not announce it on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday? Can Andrew Constantine shed any light on the matter?

They announced it on another thread. I don't quite get it. Why was Bushell put forward as being nominated for this meeting, only for the message to come forward that he was too busy?

It's this sort of stuff that makes political parties seem a bit odd at times!

Oops, I just referred to the same point above in a different way on the other thread. I somehow think we a being spun a line. I suspect it is far more than odd what has been going on. Perhaps the still mysterious resignation of Andrew Constantine from their national council is linked to this. I would be very surprised if he quit purely because he was not selected as their candidate, for example.
