It's indeed interesting that the London Evening Standard has taken an interest, in Matt O'Connor's article, when the same newspaper total ignored Garry Bushell's press releases last year.

There are now indeed three English Democrats Mayoral Candidates

Garry Bushell - Journalist & Broadcaster
Andrew Constantine - Accountant & City of London Banker
Matthew O'Connor - Campaigner & Publicist

The English Democrats National Council is the selection committee in this case and will make a final decision on Saturday 12 January 2008 in Leicester.

I formal announcement of the Selection result will be made next week, and the chosen candidate will speak to the English Democrats party at the Spring General Meeting to be held in Windsor on 23 February 2008, followed by a Gala Fundraising Dinner for the Mayoral Campaign at Eton College.

It's all turning out rather nicely !

What do you mean, it's all turning out rather nicely? It's all a bit of a mess quite frankly. Garry Bushell was declared the Mayoral candidate for the EDP, he had a site You are being redirected to tGarry for mayor which is now defunct, and his own website still has a link (of sorts).

Then you post saying that Matt O'Connor is going for the Mayor's position. And now you say it is a three-way contest to decide on a candidate.

All very strange!!!!

Kentishman's statement on this is incredible. If it is accurate then Garry has been humiliated by the party.

I wonder if someone more enterprisng than me will root out the quotes from Kentishman and the like about how great Garry is as a candidate and that they expect a lot of support as a result of him standing.
