Hain is not a nice man.
The same Hain wrote a book in 1995 warning of the dangers of the euro and EU. However, he transformed overnight into an obsessive eurosceptic soon after - something which no doubt impressed his new extremely pro-EU boss Blair (who brought him into Government). In 2003, the same Hain had the hypocrisy and cheek to tell anti-euro campaigners to "pack up their placards and go home". Like Kinnock after he 'converted' to the pro-EU movement, Hain has spent the last decade vigorously defending the very EU he once campaigned against. I was not alone in being pleased at Hain doing so badly in last year's Labour Deputy Leadership contest. The fact that the political opportunist Hain was made Secretary of State for Wales and Northern Ireland (Ulster) is an insult to the people of both of those parts of the UK. ![]() |

Another indicator of the hypocrisy and expedience of individual politicians is their record apropos CND! Kinnockio, Blair and Hain were all one time members . . . it's one of the ways of posing as 'left wing'! ________________________________ |
