Good question. The BBC report didn't give that figure.

British Audience Research will publish the official viewing figures over the next 48 hours I believe.

I have just been told over the telephone that New Year never used to be a Bank Holiday in England.

Which burnt releases the highly noxious and lung destroying
gas sulphur dioxide? And if I remember correctly, it dissolves
in atmospheric moisture and produces acid rain, which seems

I think it is a shocking waste of taxpayers cash really, even if it does confirm that none of the scumbags in charge really beleive in MMGW.
Indeed. It is barely believable that our money would be literally burned.

I say our, I imagine it is just Londoners that take the burden is it?

If they banned fireworks in the name of AGW, Christmas lights would be next. I'd rather keep both.

Yes, there are many hypocrites in the global warming lobby.

I do not like using the politically correct term 'carbon footprint' - but my 'carbon footprint' is very low and I resent being lectured by Gore and the global warming alarmists about cutting down on carbon emissions.

If the world has warmed up recently (and that is debatable) it is not (in my view) mostly the fault of the people of our planet.
