Over to you Besoeker, you have my rapt attention.
Go for it, or are you yet another asshole detractor with nothing to offer but the self glorification of a bankrupt critic.
Well, thank you kindly for your terribly polite response, sweet person. It is surely most deserving of a response.
One of the main plank of Fred's grouse is the disparity in public spending per head in Scotland compared to that in England - it's a fair point really.
But my view is that a break up of the UK is not a good thing and, on that basis one ought to consider public spending on a UK regional basis.
Looked at that way, London, the North East, and the North West of England all do better than the average for England as a whole. And NI does best of all in UK.
Is it fair? I don't know. Should Fred be taking a pop at them?

Yuletide felicitations to you.

But, they are English poor and I have no problem in financially supporting them in the same way that I would support my own family members. The Scots, on the other hand, proudly proclaim their identity and culture so fcuk em. No Scots, man, woman or child should be advantaged over the English but they are and up with it I will not put. A seasonal Fcuk off to you too.

Wot! No facts?

Plenty of opinion, as usual!!!

Now who would try to set set one part of England against another (ie London and the north of England against the rest), whilst ignoring the significant advantages the North and West Regions of Britain have over the north of England and, of course, the remainder!

Now, wot was that about 'self glorification' . . . . ?

Do you feel the same way about the Irish in Northern Ireland?
I hope you had a nice day.

Fred was making comparisons between England and other parts of the UK. Non-English are at the heart of the persistent refusal to treat England as a nation in its own right. Your insistence upon trying to divert this thread into comparisons between various parts of England is consistent with the unfairness being meted out to the English!

One is tempted to say to those not resident in England presuming to comment on differences in various parts of England, mind your own business!

In these circumstances, it seems eminently reasonable to conclude that you are unable to take on Fred's points on the same terms. Still, a smokescreen is better than being seen as devoid of a relevant response.

Happy Christmas to you!

NI isn't one of the various parts of England.

Now you're being silly!

Three (as opposed to two) wrongs doesn't make a right.

I'm not saying that any of it is right.

Seems that "yet another asshole detractor with nothing to offer but the self glorification of a bankrupt critic" is a pretty accurate assessment!
