It's exactly the kind of tripe one expects from the Tooting Popular Front.

We tried to abolish England , Scotland etc years ago when Scotland became known as 'North Britain'. Unfortunately this didn't last long.

Years ago there was an 'English Nationalist' nutter who used to contest elections wearing a Beefeater uniform. Says it all really.

The project was handicapped from the start by (1) being imposed from the top down (bit like entry to the then EEC) and (2) Scotland being permitted to retain its own legal system and bank notes . . .

You seem to have got it right, upto "We tried to abolish England . . . " but from there on it went pear shaped! Now, the representatives of five million people (having retained THEIR distinct non-British identity) dictate to the fifty million 'British' in England. You couldn't invent it!

MikeUK - you appear to have your head in the sand.

I was a Unionist unitil about 7 years ago, I began to question why I was British yet the Scots were Scots, surely we were either ALL British or I was English.

The English did not start this, but sure as hell, we will finish it !

I, and many others, are with you in this. I was also an appeasing collectivist on this matter, but not any more. Most who were were always also rampant Anglos. We were just being nice.

Perhaps being really nice is going to mean firstly really being ourselves.

I know the problems, but your 'solution' is a dead end; a gift to the Eurofanatics who want to Balkanise Britain.

There is a fallacious idea abroad on the 'right' that 'English Nationalism', by excluding certain people who may be Britsh but are not English, can somehow lead to a traditionalist Utopia.

Don't believe it. So-called Scots and Welsh nationalism has led to local rule by the usual PC scum.

England and Britain have been betrayed by so-called democracy. We don't want more of it. It's time to think outside the box.

The trouble is, Mike, every time you try and think outside the box you run into that same "PC scum". People tend to feel that the only way to avoid it is to close ranks. If there is any way to avoid it (and UKIP couldn't and hasn't) how can this be done effectively before more people simply go Nationalist and be damned?

This forum has its share of those who wish to criticise and to condemn but who do not propose feasible alternatives!

True, there are quite a few alternatives but few are feasible

Default England

Of course the other option is to take the approach the Marxists did which is infest every institution and bring about change from the inside.
Get into the heart of the problem and get into positions of power and cut the rot out. Combine this with using the power of the polling booth and I think you could bring the country back from the edge.
