Yes, I have also met Indians who are more pro-English and pro-England than Clegg is.

I notice that Clegg holds a constituency (Shefflied Hallam) which is not traditionally 'safe' for his europhile Liberal Dim party (it was a Conservative-held constituency during the time of Lady Thatcher as Prime Minister).

It would be nice if he lost his seat at the next General Election .

Even more delicious if it were to (or because of) a candidate from an anti-EU party!!!

There was a report a while back called "Less is More" which concluded that if we adopted a Dutch approach to regulation, we could minimise the administrative burden of regulation and improve GDP.

Quote:
1. The United Kingdom can considerably reduce the regulatory
burden on business by adopting the successful Dutch approach
to reducing administrative costs. This approach involves first
measuring administrative burdens and then setting a target
to reduce them. The golden rule is that what gets measured
gets done.

2. We need a “One in, One out” approach to new regulation, which
forces departments to prioritise between new regulations and to
simplify and remove existing regulations. This will complement the
administrative cost reduction programme.
Exectuive summary and full report available here:

Regulation - Less is More. Reducing Burdens, Improving Outcomes

Both Clegg and Huhne as ex MEPs must be in possession of a nice fat EU pension. They will have sworn to support the EU, no matter what, otherwise they can be stripped of their pension.

Do they have to declare their EU pension (if they each have one)?

It's frightening to consider that a people's destiny and a country's sovereignty could be riding on some one's pension

It is not so much that such matters 'ride' on the pensions, more a case of exposing what individuals truly stand for . . . revealing their 'core beliefs' as the Revd Blair was wont to say.
