The hatred of the Scots, Welsh, Irish against the English, has always been there.

The SNP, did not stir it up, they just tapped into it !

What's interesting is that a large number of English, now hate the Scots, Welsh and Irish (as well as the French!)

I am a Scot. Not surprisingly, I know quite a few other Scots. I have not experienced a feeling of hatred towards England, or the English.
I have no doubt there are some who do, but it may not be as prevalent as your post implies.

If that is true and I wouldn't know because I don't have access to the figures this shows the absurdity of some people who complain that Scotland is full of 'subsidy junkies'. If these people took their 'logic' to its ultimate conclusion then they would be effectively advocating an 'independent' state of London with a few bits of the Home Counties added on.

Indeed. They forget that a large number of Scots live in the South. From this they then conclude that Scotland is somehow a nation full of economic impotents...

I am not trying too split the union or surgesting the richer parts of the country should not subserdise the poorer ones just stating a fact. For all its wealth London has some of the most deprived parts of Britian , maybe we could do with a bit more of our taxes being spent on ourselves.
