There is talk that Newsnight will show the English Democrats' video ("State of the Union").

Yes, it's true! Apparently they will show it in the slot at the very end of the programme. It was a toss-up between that and an item about a talking rabbit, but the rabbit now has laryngitis, so the ED's video should win through.

I just wanted to give all users of the forum a chance to enjoy once more Tom's generous and witty endorsement of an English Democrats video, prepared by one of our members (who recently lost his job), who worked his socks off for no pay to make this really great video, just for love of England.

Just thought that I would mention that Newsnight's Mr. Jeremy Paxman (a Yorkshireman) - who does not usually present Newsnight on Fridays - is the author of a book about the people of England:
