Default Petition on EU Pensions

This petition says ----

"We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to bring forward legislation requiring all Members of the Houses of Parliament to declare in the Register of Members' interests whether they are in receipt of any pension or other benefits or emoluments payable by the European Union, and also to declare this interest when they speak - in the House in which they sit - on any matter pertaining to the European Union."

This is a very important petition (thanks Andrew for putting it up).

Not many people realise that all those who receive pensions from the EU have to promote it, or they lose their pensions.

This is a good initiative!

Pity the English Democrats Party has not itself practised the precept of declaring personal interests.

I wouldn't hold your breaths though. Look at the 'refinements' introduced into the FOI benefitting MPs and their expenses!
