Default UKIP "will campaign for English Parliament" says leading UKIP figure Mr. Bannerman

UKIP will campaign for an English Parliament says leading UKIP figure Mr. David Campbell-Bannerman, according to the following article in the East Anglia Daily Times:

Default UKIP policy for an English Parliament?

A very intriguing post. I thought official UKIP policy was against an English Parliament?

Regards, Andrew

The next thing will be NF calling the ED's to arrange some kind of amalgamation of the two parties - needed to consolidate the anti EU vote - but not going to happen.

It appears to be common practice these days for parties not to have any principles and just go for what they think people will vote for, or to keep a particularly successful member on side.

When Bannerman was Chairman of UKIP he allowed Tom Wise supported by Titford to set up an Eastern Region Committee in complete breach of rules that had been agreed by the UKIP NEC. Granted the rules were not very clever, which says much about the incompetence of the UKIP NEC, and the set as issued by Kingscott which allegedly had been approved by the NEC was full of mistakes but Bannerman was not prepared to get the rules, or indeed the fragrant breach, sorted out.

I would not be party to any deal with any of the management of UKIP.

I must admit UKIP would not be a very trusty ally with the cabal in charge.

I don't think that Nigel Farage will ever try to make contact with the English Democrats.

Nigel Farage would not be comfortable working in a Party with Democratic internal procedures !

It would be a bit like showing a crucifix to Dracula!

Interesting, considering what 'Cassie' has to say on the 'democratic' nature of the EDs.

Caasandra was the wise man to whom no one listened, Cassie - ditto, just omit "wise".

A buffoon would not perceive that the above two statements are unconnected!

I also believe that, unlike sad K*ntishman, Mr Farage can probably distinguish between proper and common nouns.

Besides, who would want contact with someone with neither the courtesy nor wisdom to avoid posting personal comments about another individual in circumstances where confidentiality is required. On the evidence, K*ntishman is unfit for public office.

Amazing what £17,000 can buy in some parties for political inadequates!
