Default London Assembly campign will be anti EU

I was right chuffed to be told that the English Democrats have nominated me to stand for them as one of the candidates in the 1 May 2008 London Assembly elections.

With fellow EU sceptic Garry Bushell as our mayoral candidate, the English Democrats will work hard to bring home to the people of London how much the EU (and the Scottish Raj of course) is costing them.

If there is an early general election (let's pray it is not also on 1 May 2008 as the electronic vote counting technology being installed by a Spanish company might be overwhelmed), then the news and work for that will clearly take the media attention away from the London elections.

But when the London election campaign is in full swing, be assured that the UK's democratic, societal and financial costs from membership of the EU will be made a centre stage campaigning issue by Garry Bushell and the English Democrats standing for the Assembly.

I hope all fellow EU sceptics will join our London elections campaign to fight the three pro-EU parties.
